Are you from Philadelphia originally? What does the local music community mean to you?

I'm from Springfield, New Jersey. I moved to Philly in 2017 and currently live there now. I love Philly for its music scene, there are a lot of great artists almost everywhere in the. city. There are a lot of shows, too. Shows I can pull up to even if I'm not on the lineup.

Who are some of your musical influences?

I take a lot of influence from Lil Wayne and Kanye West. Being the two artists I liked most growing up, I admired the word play from Wayne and the self production role Kanye took. I can always admire originality and creativity from any artist.

Your most recent track, Sale, dropped earlier this month. What does this song mean to you?

It is a reflection of a lot of the energy I feel built up. I made the beat, then wrote right after to it.  Sale was a song I felt I had to make, prove my stance on the moves I'm making currently.

How would you describe your sound/vibe to someone who's never heard your music before? What do you hope to make people feel when listening to you?

I'd describe my sound as futuristic trap. I like to base my sounds on what you would view the future like. It is turn up music, what you listen to in the car or before you go out. I hope people feel that jolt of energy just as I did when I was in the studio.

Will there be a tape/album dropping in 2019?

It’s a strong possibility. I'm sitting on a lot of music, I just need to figure out a strong creative direction. I don't want to release a project unless it's epic.

What's next for Eli 1000?

What’s next for me is growth. I grow and learn every day, being a better producer and rapper. I will keep giving people what they want. Hits on Top of Hits.
