What’s your story?

I was born in Jordan. In 2001 my family Immigrated here. I was raised in West Detroit. Growing up in an area with so little opportunity gave me the drive I have to pursue things independently today. I made it out in 2017 a month before my 17th birthday. Knowing what its like to be deprived of proper networking opportunities, i found it easy to make the connections I needed to build a platform. That's what brings me here today.

What does the local music community mean to you?

90% of my inspiration. I have gotten more things done off the strength of being around others getting shit done. I thank and love all of them for letting me be apart.

Who are some of your biggest inspirations, both locally and mainstream?

My earliest inspiration is Donald Glover. Seeing him have his hand in so many artistic mediums gave me the confidence to experiment with my art. Locally, Vic Deni and Keenan Watkins. We co-organize events together and their love for Philadelphia and its artist gives me hope.

What’s one thing about you that you think is misunderstood? What do people not know about you, or one thing you want people to know?

People tend to be intimidated by me. There's not much people don't know about me, I’m shamelessly open about everything.

Tell us about your most recently dropped project, or an upcoming project.

My latest tape Wasted isn't as much of a project as it is a scrapbook. It's the only songs ive made that meet my standards. I'd rather make 100 tracks and drop the best 10 than sit down and give myself deadlines.

Are there any artists you enjoy collaborating with the most? Are there any artists, local or mainstream, that you would love to collab with?

Im very much a perfectionist when it comes to my recording process, i don't like putting other artists through that. Id always be down to send and receive reference tracks though. One day ill work Deathgrips and it'll be really interesting. Can't wait for that.

What has been your favorite project you’ve released so far, or the one you’re most proud of?

My pride and joy is the intro Wasted. It was produced by one of my closests friends AsaJc. Lots of sentimental value with that one.

Who else in our community do you think is Next Up?

Eli616. All I gotta say.

What’s next for you?

I dont think thats for me to decide. Sticking to my ideals has gotten me where I need to be so far in life so imma keep going with that for a while.
